He appealed to citizens to remain alert in cases of online fraud, fake calls, suspicious links and digital cheating. The Chief Minister also said work would be done on suggestions received from citizens to improve the traffic system.

Public participation necessary for cyber security

The Chief Minister said that with the increasing use of digital services, the challenges of cybercrime are also growing. In such a situation, the efforts of only the police and administration are not enough; public awareness is also necessary.

Citizens should not share their banking information, OTPs, passwords or other confidential details with any unknown person. They should also avoid clicking on any suspicious link or carrying out online transactions at the request of an unknown person.

Lakhs of people benefit from awareness campaign

Through the cyber awareness campaign, people were informed about new methods of online fraud and measures to protect themselves from them. The objective of the campaign is to encourage citizens to use digital platforms safely and to make them aware of the need to register complaints about cybercrimes on time.

In the event of any cyber fraud, people should immediately contact the national cybercrime helpline number 1930.

Work also to be done on traffic improvement suggestions

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai also described citizens’ suggestions as important for improving the traffic system. Positive changes can be brought about through public cooperation in road safety, traffic management and compliance with rules.

It has been stated that necessary steps will be taken by the departments concerned on the basis of suggestions received from people.

Emphasis on safe digital behaviour

Along with awareness, timely reporting is also important for protection from cybercrimes. Citizens should remain cautious about suspicious messages received on social media, fake investment offers and calls from unknown numbers.

The government’s focus is on strengthening cyber security through the safe use of technology and public participation.
