CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal  /  Raipur / Chhattisgarh :  The Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court has called for a collective effort to safeguard the rights and well-being of the girl child in the state. During a special seminar organized at the High Court premises, the Chief Justice emphasized that ensuring the safety, education, and empowerment of girls is not just a legal responsibility but a societal obligation.

Highlighting the persistent challenges faced by girl children, including gender discrimination, lack of education, and safety concerns, the Chief Justice urged families, educators, law enforcement, and civil society to work together. “Protecting the girl child is the responsibility of every citizen, and society must actively prevent violence, exploitation, and discrimination,” the Chief Justice said.

The event saw participation from legal experts, child rights activists, and government representatives who discussed strategies for improving child protection frameworks and enforcing stricter laws against violations. The Chief Justice also stressed the role of awareness campaigns and legal literacy in empowering communities to take proactive steps for safeguarding girls.

He further remarked that judiciary alone cannot solve these issues; it requires joint action from all sectors of society. The Chief Justice’s call to action was widely appreciated and is expected to inspire community-led initiatives across Chhattisgarh aimed at promoting the welfare and protection of girl children.
