Chhattisgarh Schools Reopen With Enrollment Drive

CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Government and private schools across Chhattisgarh are set to reopen from June 16 with the commencement of the new academic session. To mark the occasion, the state government will organize a special Shala Pravesh Utsav (School Admission Festival) aimed at encouraging enrollment, welcoming students, and bringing school dropouts back into the education system. The initiative reflects the government's commitment to ensuring quality education and increasing student participation across the state.

As part of the reopening preparations, schools have been directed to ensure adequate infrastructure, cleanliness, and learning facilities. Special campaigns will be conducted to identify children who have discontinued their studies and motivate them to return to classrooms. Education officials believe that community participation and awareness efforts will play a crucial role in reducing dropout rates and improving educational outcomes.

Students enrolled in government schools will receive various benefits, including free textbooks and uniforms, helping ease the financial burden on families and promoting inclusive education. The state has also introduced standardized new uniforms for government school students from the 2026 academic session.

The reopening of schools is expected to bring renewed enthusiasm among students, teachers, and parents. Through enrollment drives, welfare support, and focused educational initiatives, the government aims to strengthen the state's education system and ensure that every child has access to learning opportunities and a brighter future.
