A special orientation program for health workers was organized at the Civil Hospital Hathai Kheda to review health programs and improve the execution of various campaigns. The orientation focused on providing information about key initiatives, including the Pulse Polio Campaign, SAANS Campaign, Male Sterilization Fortnight, ANMOL Portal, and Ayushman Cards for Senior Citizens.
The meeting was attended by Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari, nodal officers of all health programs, sub-divisional medical officers, public health managers, supervisors, ANMs, and ASHA workers.
Key Highlights from the Meeting:
Ayushman Vay Vandana Cards:
Dr. Tiwari directed the health workers to expedite the issuance of Ayushman Vay Vandana Cards for senior citizens. Sub-divisional medical officers were instructed to coordinate with their respective officials and municipal corporations to prioritize this task.
Male Sterilization Fortnight (until December 4):
Emphasis was laid on mobilization, updating the list of target couples, contacting them, providing family planning information, and sharing details about designated hospitals and sterilization days.
Pulse Polio Campaign (December 8):
Health workers were provided detailed training on microplanning, mobilization, logistics management, vaccine storage and transportation, and reporting processes.
SAANS Campaign (until February 28):
Field health workers were instructed to conduct door-to-door visits to identify pneumonia cases in children promptly. Cases must be managed using the prescribed doses of Amoxicillin and Gentamicin before referring them to higher health institutions.
Focus on Health Campaigns:
Dr. Tiwari emphasized that special programs and campaigns are being conducted for children, senior citizens, and target couples. He stressed the importance of adhering to departmental protocols to ensure that beneficiaries receive timely and appropriate services. He also warned that negligence in delivering these services would lead to disciplinary action.
This orientation aimed to align health workers with the department’s objectives and ensure effective implementation of health programs to benefit the public.
