CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: “Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav Meets with AIIMS Executive Director” The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav, met with Professor (Dr.) Ajay Singh, the Executive Director of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). During the meeting, Professor Singh briefed the Chief Minister on the achievements of AIIMS. Until two years ago, AIIMS did not feature in any ranking among the country’s top medical institutions. However, the institution has made remarkable progress in the past two years. Professor Singh took charge in August 2022 and implemented several stringent measures to strengthen AIIMS Bhopal’s reputation, yielding visible results the following year. AIIMS has significantly improved its overall ranking among government medical colleges, moving from 20th place in 2023 to 16th place in 2024. Additionally, AIIMS secured the second position in the list of best emerging colleges and achieved third place among the highest-scoring colleges established in the year 2000 and beyond.
Dr. Singh also provided detailed information to the Chief Minister about the emergency medical training being provided to over 500 doctors and nursing officers at primary health centers across various districts of the state, in collaboration with Madhya Pradesh’s National Health Mission. This training will enable efficient management of trauma and emergency cases throughout the state. The Chief Minister expressed his appreciation for AIIMS’s achievements and congratulated Professor (Dr.) Ajay Singh for his efforts. He expressed hope that AIIMS will continue to strive for better health outcomes for the residents of the state, thereby strengthening the state’s healthcare infrastructure.
