CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that nothing is greater than a mother and one’s mother tongue. He described the mother as our greatest caregiver and the mother tongue as the heritage of our culture. “Just as the four Dhams (sacred abodes) are at the feet of a mother, similarly, joy resides in the lap of the mother tongue,” he said while addressing the Bharatiya Matribhsha Anushthan program held on Monday at Hansdhvani Auditorium, Ravindra Bhavan, on the occasion of Hindi Diwas.

The Chief Minister highlighted that Hindi is the third most spoken language in the world, calling it the soul of literature, emotions, and sensibilities. On this occasion, he honored ten writers from India and abroad with the National Hindi Language Award and also inaugurated various literary books.

During the program, Minister of State for Culture and Tourism, Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, stated that the state government has initiated medical studies in Hindi and is continuously working toward making Hindi the national language. RNTU Chancellor Santosh Choubey shared details about the World Hindi Olympiad and Vishwarang expansion and invited the Chief Minister to the closing ceremony in Colombo. On this occasion, the Chief Minister was also conferred the WOW Award Asia Gold Award in the special category for Vikramotsav 2025, recognized as an official Asian ceremony.

The event was attended by Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh, senior literati, scholars, and culture enthusiasts in large numbers. Dr. Yadav emphasized that Hindi Diwas is not just a celebration but a festival of Indianness, connecting us to our roots and values.
