CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : Chief Minister Mohan Yadav Inaugurates ‘Udyam Setu’ Office in Bhopal
On Sunday, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated the newly constructed state office building of Laghu Udyog Bharti, named ‘Udyam Setu’, located in the Govindpura Industrial Area, by cutting the ribbon amid Vedic chants. Built at a cost of approximately ₹4 crore, the inauguration was held alongside Laghu Udyog Bharti’s biennial state conference and the Startup & Small Entrepreneur Mahakumbh-2025.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Yadav said that micro, small, and cottage industries form the backbone of the Indian economy. Assuring industrialists of the government’s support, he stated that all challenges faced by MSMEs would be resolved on a priority basis. He announced that once any institutional or bank loan is repaid, the associated mortgaged property will be automatically released, a provision that will also benefit MSME units. Additionally, all necessary approvals for setting up industries in the state will now be provided in a timely manner.

Dr. Yadav highlighted that India currently has over 6 crore MSME units, contributing more than 30% to the country’s GDP and accounting for 45% of total exports. He emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives, “Make in India” and “Vocal for Local”, are strong steps toward a self-reliant India, with small industries playing a pivotal role in this vision.
On the occasion, chief speaker Krishna Gopal said that small industries are the backbone of society, providing employment to marginalized communities. He also noted that small industries are environmentally friendly and do not contribute to carbon emissions, urging their protection through a spirit of local pride.
The event was attended by Minister of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Chaitanya Kashyap, National President of Laghu Udyog Bharti Ghanshyam Ojha, State President Rajesh Mishra, and several other dignitaries.
CM Yadav added that by 2047, when India becomes a developed nation, the contribution of small industries will be crucial. He called upon entrepreneurs to embrace technology, online marketplaces, and innovation to move forward in the “Local to Global” direction.
