CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: In line with the guidelines of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department of the Madhya Pradesh government, Collector Priyank Mishra has constituted a district-level monitoring committee for the coordinated, effective and time-bound implementation of the Chief Minister Vrindavan Gram Yojana in Bhopal district. The committee will ensure regular review and monitoring of approved development works in the villages and gaushalas selected under the scheme, along with coordination among various departments.
The district-level monitoring committee will be chaired by the minister in charge of Bhopal district, while the Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat, will be the member-secretary of the committee. The committee includes the Collector, Bhopal, District Forest Officer, deputy directors of the veterinary, agriculture, fisheries and horticulture departments, executive engineers of the Public Health Engineering, Water Resources, Rural Engineering Service and Public Works departments, the District Education Officer and the District Programme Officer of the Women and Child Development Department, along with senior officials of 31 departments as members.
The committee will regularly review the progress of construction and development works being carried out in selected villages and gaushalas. It will also ensure the availability of basic facilities in gaushalas, including drinking water, electricity or solar energy, fodder, sheds, sanitation and drainage. Special attention will be given to maintaining the quality of works by establishing convergence among various government schemes and departments and ensuring their completion within the stipulated time frame.
Public grievances and practical problems related to the scheme will also be resolved by the committee in a time-bound manner. The committee’s review meeting will be held every month. While ensuring compliance with the decisions taken in the meeting, progress reports will be sent in the prescribed format to the state government and the Directorate of Panchayat Raj.
