CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress / ITDC News Bhopal: The International Day of Light 2026 was celebrated enthusiastically by the Regional Science Centre Bhopal. On this occasion, a special science demonstration titled “Implementation of Light” was organized, in which interesting principles related to light were showcased through various exhibits and science kits available at the science centre. During the program, concepts such as scattering of light, total internal reflection, and transmission of light through optical fibers were presented in a simple and engaging manner through live experiments and interactive activities. Students and visitors observed the experiments related to optical science with great interest and gained a practical understanding of scientific principles.

As part of the ongoing summer creative science workshop organized at the Regional Science Centre Bhopal, a three-day workshop on Creative Mathematics was conducted for students. The objective of the workshop was to develop interest in mathematics among students and to explain mathematical concepts through experimental and engaging methods. During the workshop, students prepared educational kits and models based on various mathematical concepts. They learned about shapes and geometrical structures through Tangram activities, understood multiplication and division methods using Napier’s Bones, and explored the interesting process of image multiplication through the activity titled “Making Fun of Mathematics.” In addition, students created innovative mathematical models such as non-round rollers to understand the practical applications of mathematics and shapes.

The entire workshop was filled with creativity, participation, and experiential learning. Through various activities, students realized that mathematics is not limited to numbers alone but is also deeply connected with daily life and scientific thinking. The workshop encouraged logical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and a spirit of innovation among the students.
