CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Office of the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) is conducting regular inspections of various health institutions across the district to ensure timely attendance of doctors and staff and the provision of treatment to patients during OPD hours. CMHO Bhopal, Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari, assigned District Health and Family Welfare Officer Manoj Hurmade and District Accounts Manager Anil Yadav to inspect the Civil Hospital in Berasia.
The inspection team conducted a surprise visit to Civil Hospital Berasia at 10:00 AM. During the inspection, doctors, paramedical staff, and other employees were found present. The team reviewed OPD, IPD, labor rooms, postnatal wards, nutrition rehabilitation centers, and NBSU services.
Following the inspection, a meeting with health workers was held to review progress on Ayushman card generation, family welfare programs, non-communicable disease control initiatives, malaria, and TB programs. Feedback on healthcare services was also gathered from admitted patients.
Previously, inspections of urban and rural health institutions were conducted, and disciplinary action was taken against absentee doctors and staff. These ongoing surprise inspections and departmental actions have led to improved attendance and adherence to schedules by medical personnel.
CMHO Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari stated that nodal officer teams have been formed to inspect remote health institutions in rural areas. These teams will conduct surprise inspections periodically to ensure efficient healthcare delivery.
