CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: To assess the facilities at Jayprakash District Hospital, Collector Bhopal, Kaushalendra Vikram Singh, conducted a surprise inspection of services being provided in the OPD. He reviewed services across several departments, including the outpatient department, registration system, X-ray, and physiotherapy.
Observing a low number of patients in the physiotherapy unit, he instructed that information about physiotherapy services be displayed prominently and proposals for upgrading the unit as per requirements be prepared.
During the inspection, seeing long queues for X-rays, he expressed displeasure and directed that X-rays be conducted using a token or serial number system. Considering the high number of patients at OPD registration, he also instructed that seating arrangements be made especially for elderly patients and those with serious illnesses.
Singh advised the Civil Surgeon to ensure that, along with quality treatment, patients visiting the hospital receive care in the shortest possible time.
The Collector added that services for the treatment and follow-up of hypertension, diabetes, and various common and seasonal diseases are available at the Chief Minister Sanjeevani Clinic. He instructed the CMHO to encourage patients with common illnesses to use the Chief Minister Sanjeevani Clinic at the local level, in order to reduce the OPD load at the district hospital.
