CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The agitation by candidates over alleged paper leaks and irregularities in online examinations conducted by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) is intensifying. The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has now announced that it will support the protesting candidates. CJP founder Abhijeet Deepke has demanded the resignations of the MPSC chairman and secretary.
The CJP has given the government and the commission a deadline of September 24, 2026. The party said that if the two officials do not resign by the stipulated time, Abhijeet Deepke and other party members will tour Maharashtra and extend support to the candidates’ movement.
Candidates are protesting in different cities of Maharashtra over alleged irregularities in MPSC examinations. They are demanding that transparency in the examinations be ensured and that the alleged paper leak be investigated impartially. In Nagpur too, protesters have demanded the resignations of MPSC chairman Vivek Bhimanwar and the secretary.
In this matter, the Maharashtra government has decided to constitute an SIT to investigate issues linked to the 2025 MPSC main and preliminary examinations. It has also decided to recheck the answer sheets of the main examination.
