CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: State-level classical competitions were organized at the Bhopal campus of Central Sanskrit University, operated under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The event was held under the guidance of Srinivas Varkhedi, Vice-Chancellor of Central Sanskrit University.

The inauguration ceremony featured Chief Guest Suresh Kumar Jain, Vice-Chancellor of Barkatullah University, Bhopal, and Special Guest Dinesh Kumar Garg. Saraswat Guest Professor Shobha Mishra from the Sanskrit Department of Vikramajit Sanatan Mahavidyalaya, Karanpur, also graced the occasion. The program was presided over by Ramakant Pandey, Director of Central Sanskrit University, with Associate Director Neelabh Tiwari also present.

During the inaugural session, Chief Guest Professor Suresh Kumar Jain emphasized in his address that in the current era, the preservation of scriptures is possible only through such competitions. Saraswat Guest Professor Shobha Mishra conveyed her blessings and best wishes to the participants. President Ramakant Pandey encouraged participants to take responsibility for preserving civilization, culture, and scriptures. Associate Director Professor Neelabh Tiwari welcomed all the guests with a formal address.

The two-day event will feature 34 competitions, including Grammar Shalaka, Literature Shalaka, Astrology Shalaka, Literature Speech, Grammar Speech, Quiz, Akshar Shloki, and Samasya Poorti, with 130 students participating. On the first day, competitions such as Grammar Shalaka, Astrology Shalaka, Literature Shalaka, and Chanting were held.

The coordinator for the competitions is Professor Pradeep Kumar Pandey. The program was hosted by Ragini Sharma.
