CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign, various activities were successfully conducted in Bhopal, Itarsi, and Bina under the Clean India Mission in the Bhopal division. These programs were organized to promote awareness about cleanliness and encourage a sense of cleanliness in society.
As part of the Clean India Mission Sports League, various sports competitions were held at the Railway School in Itarsi. The emphasis was on instilling the importance of cleanliness in children and youth through sports, inspiring them to adopt a healthy and clean lifestyle.
In addition to sports activities, an essay writing competition was also organized. This competition was successfully conducted at the Mahila Samaj Kalyan School in Itarsi, and at the Samaj Kalyan Center in Bhopal and Bina. The theme of the competition was “Swachh Bharat Mission,” in which students enthusiastically participated and expressed their views on the importance of cleanliness.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria shared that these programs are inspiring participants and attendees to understand the importance of cleanliness, waste management, adopting a plastic-free environment, and maintaining clean habits. This initiative proved to be another significant step toward fulfilling the objectives of the Clean India Mission, with the primary goal of creating a clean and healthy society.
Such events organized by the Bhopal division not only raise awareness about cleanliness but also reflect Indian Railways’ efforts to ensure a clean and healthy environment.
