CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Minister of New and Renewable Energy for the state, Rakesh Shukla, stated in Ashoknagar that cleanliness should become a part of our life’s culture and daily routine. With this resolution, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had initiated the cleanliness campaign, highlighting the importance of a clean environment.
Minister Shukla, who is in charge of Ashoknagar, urged everyone to take a pledge from the Luv Kush temple to participate in keeping our homes, families, and neighborhoods clean. He also emphasized that everyone should plant at least one tree in honor of this commitment.
He mentioned that cleanliness is a collective responsibility of society. The program, which begins on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, will continue until October 2, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Efforts will be made to ensure participation from everyone in the cleanliness initiative.
Honoring Cleanliness Workers During the event, Minister Rakesh Shukla honored four sanitation workers for their exemplary work, presenting them with cleanliness kits. The honored workers were Shishupal Balmik and Karam Balmik from the Rawsar village panchayat, and Dharmraj Balmik and Abhishek Balmik from the Mohari Rai village panchayat. He also provided a check for ₹4,95,000 to the women of the Mayuri Self-Help Group.
Planting Trees for a Tree Mother As part of the “One Tree Mother” campaign, Minister Rakesh Shukla planted a champa tree sapling on the bank of the Tulsi Sarovar pond, promoting the message of planting as many trees as possible.
Spreading the Cleanliness Message During the event, Minister Rakesh Shukla visited the Luv Kush temple and swept the area around the temple and the Tulsi Sarovar pond to promote the message of cleanliness. He also took selfies with school children, promoting the idea of cleanliness.
