CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav virtually addressed a programme organised at the Mantralaya for the distribution of social security pensions. With a single click, he transferred the May instalment of Rs 203.56 crore into the accounts of more than 33,92,695 brothers, sisters and elderly people. He said having the blessings of elders at home is like cool shade in scorching heat. In our culture, giving respect to the elderly, the helpless and the weakest sections of society is not only a duty but is considered our dharma. The state government is committed to the dignity of every citizen of the state.
Dr. Mohan Yadav said the government’s effort is that no poor family, mother, sister or Divyang companion in the state should feel helpless. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the resolve of Antyodaya is being fulfilled in the country. In the same direction, the state government is also engaged in the welfare of the poor, the deprived and the weaker sections. Social security pension is not merely financial assistance, but a promise of the government’s affection, respect and security towards poor families and Divyang companions. The state government considers everyone part of its family. He said the government is committed to the dignity of every citizen. In the Farmers’ Welfare Year, the state government has taken an important farmer-friendly decision. Farmers in the state will be given loans at zero interest rate, and the repayment deadline will not be March 31; instead, farmers will have to repay the loan within 12 months from the date on which they take it.
More than 25 crore people came out of poverty in 10 years
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, every citizen of the country today feels secure. In the last 10 years, more than 25 crore people in the country have come out of the poverty line. Through the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, more than 80 crore people are receiving free ration every month. Schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Awas, Ayushman Bharat, Jal Jeevan Mission and Ujjwala Yojana have written a history of public welfare. He said the state government is among the leading states in the country in the implementation of most welfare schemes. The government is working with full commitment for the welfare of the poor, youth, women and farmers. Senior citizens, mothers, sisters and beneficiaries from different districts of the state joined the social security pension distribution programme virtually.
