CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Ujjain: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav unveiled the Vikramaditya Vedic Clock and launched its mobile app at the Chief Minister’s residence. On this occasion, he stated that India has enriched the universe with its knowledge and culture. The Vikramaditya Vedic Clock is a symbol of Indian tradition and scientific vision, providing accurate information on time calculation, Panchang, dates, constellations, yogas, and auspicious muhurats.

The program began with the lighting of a ceremonial lamp and a welcome rally themed “Bharat ka Samay – Prithvi ka Samay” (India’s Time – Earth’s Time). The Chief Minister also released a YouTube series folder on Raja Bhoj and a film CD on astronomy. He urged the youth to download the app and promote the use of the Vedic Clock.

Highlighting the importance of the Indian calendar system, Dr. Yadav said that seasons, Amavasya-Purnima (new moon & full moon), and 30 muhurats hold special significance. Ujjain is considered the center of Indian time calculation, and this clock will help in its global recognition. He added that the clock represents a balanced blend of science, culture, and technology and will establish India’s traditional timekeeping on the world stage.

The event was attended by Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare Vishwas Kailash Sarang, Minister of State for Backward Classes and Minority Welfare Smt. Krishna Gaur, MP Alok Sharma, several dignitaries, and university vice-chancellors.

The Vikramaditya Vedic Clock app includes Panchang data of over 7,000 years, 30 auspicious muhurats, GMT and IST timings, weather updates, and details in more than 189 global languages. The app is designed to serve as a unique tool for religious rituals, fasts, spiritual practices, and cultural events.
