CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal/ Rajgarh / Narsinghgarh: In Narsinghgarh of Rajgarh district, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav transferred ₹1,859 crore to the bank accounts of 1.26 crore sisters in the state under the Ladli Behna Yojana during the state-level Raksha Bandhan celebration. Additionally, under the Ujjwala Yojana, over 28 lakh women received ₹43.90 crore in aid through a single-click disbursement.

CM Yadav announced that the amount under the Ladli Behna Yojana will be increased from ₹1,250 to ₹3,000 per month over the next three years.

Calling Raksha Bandhan a symbol of the bond between brothers and sisters, Dr. Yadav said the festival promotes women’s dignity and social security. He cited the story of Draupadi and Lord Krishna to emphasize the significance of a brother’s vow to protect his sister. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to women’s economic and social empowerment. He also announced that from August, an additional ₹250 will be given as a festive gift, making the total amount ₹1,500 per month, and this will continue after Diwali.

During the program, the CM announced:

Renovation of Baijnath Dham,

A new college in Kurawar,

Expansion of irrigation by connecting the Newaj River to the PKC project.

He also launched ‘Aakanksha Haat’ to promote local products and support self-help groups.

On this occasion, sisters tied rakhis to the Chief Minister and presented a giant ceremonial rakhi. A grand roadshow followed, where locals welcomed him with flower showers and traditional music. Minister Chaitanya Kashyap praised the CM, stating that he has formed a familial bond with the people of the state and is turning festivals into grand celebrations.

This event not only reinforced the spirit of Raksha Bandhan but also reflected the state government’s strong commitment to women empowerment.
