CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Saturday distributed ₹20.60 crore in flood relief assistance to 17,500 farmers from 11 districts of the state from Samatva Bhavan, located at the Chief Minister’s residence. The compensation amount for crop losses caused by excessive rainfall and flooding was directly transferred into farmers’ accounts through a single click.

While virtually interacting with the affected farmers, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the prosperity of farmers is the true strength of the government. He assured that no farmer in the state would be left helpless due to adverse weather conditions. The government stands firmly with farmers in every situation and all affected families will receive relief assistance.

On this occasion, Revenue Minister Karan Singh Verma, Additional Secretary Alok Singh, Revenue Commissioner Mrs. Anubha Srivastava, and other senior officials were present. The Chief Minister directly interacted with farmers from Shivpuri, Damoh, Ashoknagar, Dhar, Chhatarpur, and Raisen districts to understand their concerns. Farmers expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for the timely relief assistance.

It is noteworthy that in August as well, the Chief Minister had provided assistance of over ₹30 crore to 24,884 affected persons. The Revenue Commissioner informed that during this monsoon season, the state has recorded 25% above-average rainfall. So far, in the financial year 2025–26, relief assistance worth ₹188.52 crore has been distributed to families affected by natural disasters.
