Exhibitions will also be put up at the venues to present development works and schemes before the general public. He said this presentation would, in a way, be like a social audit of development works.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said a conference of district development committees will be organised in the state capital, Bhopal. He said district development committees should ensure active participation in government planning for development activities. These committees should also make efforts to encourage private investment. He said there is a need to promote the installation of CCTV cameras at public places under the Assembly Constituency Development Scheme and to encourage the use of eco-friendly building materials in the construction of affordable houses. He directed that all statistical data of the state, department-wise, division-wise and district-wise, be made available on a single platform.
Registration of deaths should be arranged at Vishram Ghat itself
Dr. Yadav said that under the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituency Development Scheme, special attention should be paid to the activities of all departments in the assembly constituency. He said arrangements should also be ensured for the maintenance of works carried out under this scheme. He added that there should also be a system to encourage those doing excellent work and innovation under the scheme. During a review of the birth and death registration system in Madhya Pradesh, he directed officials to prepare an action plan to start the process of death registration at Vishram Ghat itself. This will especially make it easier for people in rural and small-town areas to obtain death certificates.
Development indices of districts should be based on local conditions
Dr. Yadav said the development indices of districts should be determined separately, keeping in mind local conditions and needs. He said districts with an industrial background, agriculture-based systems and forest-rich areas should have different development indicators. Dr. Yadav also directed that necessary arrangements be ensured to promote natural farming, provide technical guidance to people building their own houses in rural areas, and create awareness about suitable building materials.
