CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal: Activity picked up in schools across Madhya Pradesh from June 18 as the second phase of the Praveshotsav programme was held in the state. On the occasion, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav visited Government Sharda Kanya Higher Secondary School in Indore and interacted with students. He also inspected the school laboratory and took stock of academic activities. The atmosphere at the school appeared transformed during the visit, as CM Yadav met the girls warmly and blessed them by placing his hand on their heads.
During the inspection, Dr Mohan Yadav said the new academic session had begun and students were returning to schools with enthusiasm. He said it was a matter of pride for the state that the dropout rate at the primary education level had fallen to zero over the past three years. He also said Madhya Pradesh was among the leading states in the country in the effective implementation of the National Education Policy.

When Dr Yadav suddenly reached the students, many of them could hardly believe it. While the Chief Minister asked them several questions, the students also posed questions to him. They answered all his queries, and he appeared satisfied with their responses. Dr Yadav also spoke to the girls affectionately and blessed them by placing his hand on their heads. He also discussed science with the students, who shared various details with him in the laboratory.
It is noteworthy that the first phase of the Praveshotsav programme was held from April 1 to 4. At that time too, Dr Mohan Yadav had congratulated the School Education Department for bringing the number of dropouts in government schools down to zero. The state government has simplified the admission process for Classes 1, 6 and 9 in government schools. As a result, enrolment in 2025-26 has recorded a significant increase of 19.6 percent. Government schools in the state have also registered 32.4 percent growth. The state government has set a target of 1 crore 45 lakh enrolments in schools in the current session. The state has launched 369 grand Sandipani schools.
