CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav today formally released the official brochure and poster of the second edition of “NRM–2026” (National Researchers’ Meet–2026) at Vallabh Bhavan, Mantralaya, Bhopal. The event is being organized by the Dattopant Thengadi Research Institute, Bhopal. The grand National Research Scholars’ Conclave–2026 will be held from 12 to 14 February 2026 in Bhopal, where research scholars, academicians, experts, and policymakers from across the country will participate. After the success of its first edition, the conclave is entering its second year, offering an important platform for dialogue, deliberation, and exchange of innovative research perspectives.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the National Research Scholars’ Conclave is a significant effort toward breaking the remnants of a colonial mindset, promoting India-centric research, achieving the goals of Viksit Bharat 2047, and contributing to the vision of Abhyudaya Madhya Pradesh. He emphasized that the initiative represents a remarkable step toward collaborative research for India’s resurgence.
During the poster unveiling, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that research forms the foundation of a nation’s intellectual and social development. Events like the National Researchers’ Meet–2026 will play a vital role in encouraging India-centric research, innovation, and the revival of India’s knowledge traditions. Appreciating the research, intellectual, and social initiatives of the Dattopant Thengadi Research Institute, he extended his best wishes for the event.

At the brochure release, program convenor Alpana Trivedi stated that the primary objective of the National Research Scholars’ Conclave 2026 is to provide a shared intellectual platform for researchers from across the country, enabling them to exchange research ideas, experiences, and findings. The conclave aims to promote multidisciplinary research dialogue and foster intellectual synergy among diverse fields. It will also strengthen India-centric research and provide new direction to studies aligned with the nation’s social, cultural, and academic needs. A key goal of NRM–2026 is to develop among young researchers a sense of national consciousness, social responsibility, and a culture of socially relevant research, thereby ensuring that research contributes meaningfully to nation-building rather than remaining confined to academic boundaries.
Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister, Mukesh Mishra, Director of the Dattopant Thengadi Research Institute, said that the Chief Minister’s guidance and support will play an inspiring role in establishing NRM–2026 as a national academic discourse. Last year, the event was successfully organized. Now in its second year, the conclave will accelerate research efforts aimed at addressing the nation’s emerging needs. This conclave is a collaborative research initiative dedicated to India’s resurgence. The event is being co-organized by the Higher Education Department, MPCST, Veer Bharat Nyas, and MCU.
At the brochure release event, apart from convenor Alpana Trivedi, those present included the Chief Minister’s Cultural Advisor and Secretary of Veer Bharat Nyas Ram Tiwari, Anil Kothari, Director General of MPCST, Vijay Manohar Tiwari, Vice-Chancellor of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, Mukesh Kumar Mishra, Director of Dattopant Thengadi Research Institute, along with Prabhakar Pandey, Tarun Sen, and Amarjeet Kumar.
