CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Chief Minister Mohan Yadav stated that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government is fully committed to the welfare of the poor, farmers, women, and youth. He emphasized that rural development forms the foundation of the state’s prosperity, and therefore, villages are being connected to the mainstream of self-reliance and development. To increase farmers’ income, the government is promoting animal husbandry and has implemented several farmer-friendly policies. Through the Price Support Scheme, farmers are being provided fair prices for their crops, and the government has pledged to ensure water reaches every field.

The Chief Minister highlighted that under the Jal Ganga Conservation Campaign, significant measures have been undertaken for water conservation and preservation of water sources. Each gram panchayat is targeted to develop an exemplary ‘Vrindavan Gram’. He mentioned that Shamshabad’s Kagpur has been developed as an exemplary village with public cooperation, including the construction of a new haat market with 128 shops, which will serve as a commercial hub for surrounding areas. He also announced the construction of a water park through the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board to expand tourism facilities in Kagpur.

Dr. Yadav said that with the implementation of the Ken-Betwa project, irrigation in Vidisha district will be fully ensured. The state government is working to complete crematoriums, roads, and other essential facilities in all gram panchayats by 2026. While Sandipani schools are making significant contributions to the education sector, the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Kamdhenu Scheme is promoting animal husbandry. He assured that the development of roads, healthcare, electricity, education, and other basic facilities will continue at a steady pace.

Under the Adarsh Gram Scheme in Kagpur, a haat market costing ₹5.75 crore was inaugurated. The Chief Minister handed over shop keys to 2 beneficiaries and laid the foundation for 135 new community buildings worth ₹34 crore in the district. He emphasized that the state government is continuously accelerating development activities while giving the highest priority to farmers’ interests.

To promote environmental protection, the Chief Minister planted a mango sapling in Kagpur Bagia. He engaged in dialogue with Laadli sisters, lakhpati didis, and livestock owners to hear their concerns. Minister of Panchayat and Rural Development Prahlad Patel mentioned that for the first time in the state, the construction of three-storey panchayat buildings has begun. The event was attended by local representatives and a large number of villagers.
