CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Uttar Pradesh: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has called for vigilance against elements attempting to create divisions between Hindus and Sikhs, emphasizing the shared cultural and historical roots of both communities. Speaking at a public event, Yogi Adityanath said such divisive forces often work with political or ideological agendas that threaten the unity and harmony of the nation.
He highlighted the deep bonds formed during India’s freedom struggle and pointed to the sacrifices made by Sikh gurus and Hindu saints for the protection of dharma and the country. According to the CM, it is crucial to remain united in the face of narratives designed to weaken the social fabric, particularly in a diverse and pluralistic society like India.
Yogi also stressed the importance of national integration and communal harmony in achieving the dream of a strong, self-reliant India. He called on citizens, especially the youth, to not fall prey to misinformation and maintain brotherhood in the spirit of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.
The statement comes amid rising concerns over social polarization and aims to reaffirm the state’s commitment to peace and mutual respect among all religious communities.
