CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) of Bhopal inspected the under-construction maternity wing of the Civil Hospital Bairagarh. A new 100-bed maternity wing is being built at the hospital, which will benefit a large population in the Sant Hirdaram area and nearby regions by providing high-quality maternity and infant care services. During the inspection, the CMHO found a lack of cleanliness in the under-construction building and encroachments around the hospital premises. As a result, a show-cause notice was issued to the hospital superintendent.
The inspection included a review of the labor room, modular OT, HDU, NBSU, PICU, parking arrangements, fire-fighting system, and oxygen supply in the maternity wing. Additionally, the hospital superintendent, Dr. J.K. Jain, was given a notice for failing to clear unused materials from the premises and not taking swift action against the encroachments.
CMHO Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari stated that the construction of the new 100-bed maternity wing at Civil Hospital Bairagarh is underway and is expected to be completed by December. Instructions have been regularly issued to dispose of unused materials as per regulations and to coordinate with the district administration and other agencies to remove encroachments. However, due to the lack of action, a notice has been issued.
