CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: At Rabindranath Tagore University, the birth anniversary of the great thinker, visionary, and nation-builder Swami Vivekananda was celebrated with great enthusiasm and dignity as National Youth Day. On this occasion, the university’s Yoga Department organized a collective Surya Namaskar and yoga session for students, faculty, and administrative officers.

The purpose of the program was to help youth develop physical, mental, and spiritual balance while inspiring them to incorporate Swami Vivekananda’s teachings into their lives. Approximately 150 students of the university participated enthusiastically, practicing yoga with full discipline.

During the session, yoga instructors guided participants through various stages of Surya Namaskar and taught techniques for maintaining physical and mental balance, including yogasanas, pranayama, and meditation. Following the Surya Namaskar, meditation accompanied by music created a calm, positive, and energetic environment. Various yoga-related demonstrations were also conducted and widely appreciated by all attendees.

The chief guest for the program was Dr. Sangeeta Johri, University Secretary. She highlighted Swami Vivekananda’s life, philosophy, and messages for youth, stating that his entire life inspires young people to develop confidence, discipline, and a spirit of national service. She emphasized that if youth incorporate Surya Namaskar into their daily routine, they can become physically healthy, mentally strong, and spiritually aware. She encouraged students to make yoga an integral part of their daily lives.

Dr. Ratnesh Pandey, Head of the Yoga Department, was also present and spoke about the profound benefits of performing Surya Namaskar along with mantras, explaining that it strengthens not only the body but also mental health. He stated that in today’s stressful life, yoga provides a complete solution for youth and urged them to empower themselves through yoga and contribute to nation-building.

The program was successfully conducted by Akhilesh, and at the end, Nikhil Modi expressed gratitude to all guests, participants, and organizers.

The event concluded with spirited chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Yuva Bharat Zindabad”, filling the atmosphere with patriotism, energy, and youthful enthusiasm. The entire environment reflected the spirit of national pride, vigor, and the power of youth.
