CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh conducted a surprise inspection across various areas of Bhopal to review the progress of development projects, the status of healthcare facilities, and urban management systems. During the inspection, he directed officials to ensure timely and quality completion of works.

The Collector first visited the multi-purpose building under construction by the Smart City project in Tulsi Nagar. He instructed modifications to the building design by adding a fourth floor to the existing three floors so that offices of various government departments could be accommodated in one complex. He also directed that parking capacity be increased within the premises.

Next, he inspected the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Civil Dispensary and Mukhyamantri Sanjeevani Polyclinic located in Sewania Gaud / Suraj Nagar. Dr. Anasuya Bamaniya informed that the clinic receives an average OPD of 50 patients daily and offers more than 12 types of diagnostic tests. On finding a staff shortage during the inspection, the Collector directed the CMHO to send a proposal to the government for the immediate appointment of doctors and staff nurses.

Collector Singh also inspected a polyhouse farm under the Protected Farming Scheme in Barkhedi Bajayfta village, operated by Saudan Singh Kushwaha. Mr. Kushwaha shared that he had taken a loan of ₹40 lakhs (with a 50% subsidy) to cultivate Gerbera and Gypsophila flowers on two acres of land. This floriculture venture brings him an annual income of ₹10 to ₹12 lakhs.

During his visit to Lalghati Chowk, the Collector noticed women begging and immediately ordered the concerned anti-begging squads to relocate them to rehabilitation centers. He warned that strict action would be taken against those who refuse to go to the center.

Additionally, Collector Singh inspected a three-story building under construction for Tehsil Huzur in Lalghati area. He instructed Shirin Khan, Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department (Building Division), and SDO Sunil Nigam to complete the construction within the stipulated timeframe. He also directed that parking arrangements be made for 50 cars and 200 two-wheelers in the building premises.
