Anti-drug committees should be formed in educational institutions and made active, and regular awareness activities should be conducted under the “Nashe Se Doori Hai Zaroori” campaign.

Collector Mishra was chairing a meeting of the district-level NCORD committee at the Collector’s Office. He directed the police, district administration, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence and concerned departments to carry out coordinated joint action for effective control over the illegal trafficking and sale of narcotic substances. He said information should be exchanged regularly among departments, and effective action should be ensured through joint investigations in inter-district and inter-state cases.

Collector Mishra directed the Social Justice Department, School Education Department, de-addiction centres and voluntary organisations to coordinate and organise extensive awareness programmes in schools and colleges. He asked officials to prepare department-wise action plans and activity calendars, form anti-drug committees in all government colleges, appoint nodal officers and ensure regular implementation of activities. Instructions were also given to take support from social media and influencers to take the campaign’s message to young people.
