CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Collector Priyank Mishra in the Collectorate meeting hall to ensure the effective implementation of the District Export Action Plan. The objective of the meeting was to promote the export of local products from the district and to create new employment opportunities.

During the meeting, Collector Mishra highlighted the importance of local products, especially small-scale productions such as Zari-Zardozi. He stated that this traditional craft sector holds vast potential for employment generation. Emphasizing the promotion of women’s employment, he said that it can economically empower local women artisans and make them self-reliant.

Special Focus on Skill Development in the Textile Sector

Collector Mishra issued important directives to technologically strengthen the district’s textile sector and to connect youth with employment opportunities. He instructed that Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) should be signed between industries and institutions such as ITIs and polytechnic colleges in the district, so that students can receive training aligned with industry requirements.

He further stated that such coordination between educational institutions and industries will equip youth with skills suited to modern market demands. This will not only boost the district’s exports but also provide new direction and strength to the local economy.
