Collector Kaushlendra Vikram Singh held a meeting today at the District Panchayat Auditorium to review preparations for the Global Investors Summit (GIS), scheduled to take place in Bhopal on February 24-25. The meeting focused on defining the responsibilities of officials and ensuring effective coordination.
Present at the meeting were ADM Siddharth Jain, CEO of District Panchayat Ila Tiwari, CEO of Smart City Anju Arun Kumar, along with officials from various departments.
Key Directives Issued for the GIS Summit:
✅ Hospitality & Logistics: Officials were assigned responsibilities for welcoming and facilitating the movement of guests.
✅ City Beautification & Infrastructure: The Municipal Corporation was directed to enhance cleanliness, repair major roads, and ensure proper arrangements at the venue, parking areas, water supply, and mobile toilets.
✅ Traffic & Parking Management: The Municipal Corporation and Public Works Department were instructed to implement a well-structured traffic and parking system, including vehicle tagging at all parking sites.
✅ Airport & Security Measures: The collector emphasized strict adherence to security protocols at Raja Bhoj Airport and the VVIP Lounge at the State Hangar, Bhopal.
✅ Lighting & Cleanliness: Special attention was given to strengthening lighting and sanitation arrangements.
✅ Control Rooms Setup: Instructions were issued to establish a Main Control Room and Parking Control Room for efficient event management.
Unified Effort for a Successful Summit
Collector Singh urged all officials to work in coordination, emphasizing that successful execution of the summit would require collective efforts from all departments to set an exemplary standard for future events.
