CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the leadership of Ashutosh Chouksey, State President of the Indian National Student Organization (NSUI), the BJP government of the state has been accused of collusion between power and administration, enabling the drug trade that is ruining the future of children. Chouksey stated that the government is playing with the future of children and youth by protecting mafias who are distributing narcotics to young people, pushing them towards destruction.

The recent revelations about the drug trade have instilled fear across the state. While the BJP government claims to curb narcotics, it shows double standards by providing protection to those involved in the drug trade. Notably, a stockpile worth ₹1,900 crore was seized, and it was uncovered by the Gujarat narcotics team, yet the state government and local police department remained unaware. This situation raises serious questions about the state’s law and order.

Under Ashutosh Chouksey’s leadership, NSUI workers and hundreds of young girls protested against the government and the police commissioner, raising slogans. Chouksey, along with the protestors, went to present bangles to the police commissioner as a symbol of protest, leading to a scuffle with the police, and Chouksey, along with the workers, was arrested.

Chouksey stated that narcotics have been reaching students for a long time, destroying their futures. He urged the government to take strict action against those involved in this illegal trade and to introduce laws to make the state drug-free.

A large number of NSUI office bearers and workers were present at the event.
