CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: At Sant Hirdaram Girls’ College, the 79th Independence Day was celebrated with a dignified ceremony and flag hoisting. The event was graced by Colonel N. Parwani as the Chief Guest, along with Vice President of the Institution Hero Gyanchandani, P.S. Rathore, heads of all three colleges, academic and administrative members, and a large number of students.

On this occasion, Chief Guest Colonel N. Parwani delivered a thought-provoking speech, drawing inspiration from the Prime Minister’s address. He emphasized the government’s ambitious goal of transforming India from a developing nation to a developed nation within the next five years. Highlighting the vital contribution of students, he underscored their indispensable role in national progress and said, “Considering the capabilities of the young generation, I believe you will not let the dream of India’s advancement break.” Stressing the importance of the Government of India’s Make in India initiative, he urged everyone to prioritize domestically made products to achieve self-reliance swiftly.

He further called upon the youth to give priority to good health, discipline, and humility in their lives. Referring to the inspiring lives of Veer Savarkar and Subhas Chandra Bose, he encouraged students to become strong mentally, physically, and spiritually, and to give their utmost contribution to the nation’s development. He also emphasized the positive use of social media. His speech deeply inspired the audience, instilling renewed responsibility and determination to contribute to the nation’s bright future.

On this occasion, students Nargis Khan, Ayesha Khanam, and Samayra Khan also shared their views. The program was conducted and the vote of thanks was delivered by Sunila Chaubey, Head of the Faculty of Education.

On the same occasion, the S.W. Cadets of the college achieved first place in the parade organized at Lal Parade Ground — a proud result of their hard work, discipline, and dedication.
