CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The two-day special event “Diwali Skills Week” concluded with great enthusiasm at Scope Global Skills University in Misrod. Serving as a confluence of Indian tradition, creativity, and skill development, the second day of the event saw students infuse the entire campus with energy, talent, and creativity. A variety of activities were held throughout the day at the SGSU ground.
Starting at 2 PM, the Open Mic – Voice of Youth session allowed students to express their emotions and ideas through poetry, singing, dance, and theatrical performances. Following this, fresher students captivated the audience with colorful musical, dance, and drama presentations during the cultural performances.

The event was graced by Chancellor Siddharth Chaturvedi, Vice-Chancellor Vijay Singh, and Registrar Sitesh Kumar Sinha. Other distinguished guests included Director of Admissions Anurag Kulshreshtha and Event Coordinator Tina Tiwari.
Speaking on the occasion, Chancellor Siddharth Chaturvedi said, “Initiatives like ‘Diwali Skills Week’ demonstrate that when education, skills, and culture go hand in hand, the energy of youth becomes a driving force for nation-building. This event is not just a celebration but a step towards a self-reliant India.” Vice-Chancellor Vijay Singh addressed the students, stating, “The purpose of ‘Diwali Skills Week’ is not only creative expression but also to foster a spirit of learning and innovation. Such events help students become confident, skilled, and capable leaders.”

Registrar Dr. Sitesh Kumar Sinha added, “Events like ‘Diwali Skills Week’ reflect the university’s vision of connecting education with experience, creativity, and society. In the future, such events will be expanded further.” The formal launch of the E-Cell (Entrepreneurship Cell) was also announced, which will provide students with entrepreneurship training and startup guidance.
The highlight of the event was the Fashion Walk, where fresher students showcased traditional and modern attire on the ramp. This was followed by the award ceremony, presenting Sports Awards, Internal Competition Awards, Best Freshers, and the titles of Mr. & Miss Fresher.

A lively band performance made the closing ceremony unforgettable, with the campus resonating with the applause and energy of the youth. Over the two days, the event featured live skill workshops, exhibitions, cultural performances, and competitions, attracting a large number of students, trainers, and members of the local community. The university administration expressed gratitude to all participants, winners, and the organizing committee.
