CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Commerce Day was celebrated with enthusiasm by the Commerce Department of Sant Hirdaram Girls College, Bhopal, with the objective of encouraging business understanding, creativity, quick decision-making ability and team spirit among students.
On the occasion of Commerce Day, various informative and entertaining activities were organised for the students. The programme prominently featured competitions such as Brand Detective, Business Crossword Puzzle and the Odd Ad-Mad Show.
Through the Brand Detective activity, students’ observation skills and business knowledge were tested through brand identification. In the Business Crossword Puzzle, students demonstrated their business knowledge and logical ability, while in the Odd Ad-Mad Show, participants used their imagination and presentation skills to prepare and present unique and entertaining advertisements.
On the occasion, Principal Dr. Dalima Parwani, in her address, motivated students not to limit commerce education only to the curriculum, but to connect it with practical knowledge, innovation, entrepreneurship and new possibilities. She called upon students to understand the changing business environment, adopt new ideas and become self-reliant and skilled professionals.
The objective of the programme was to provide students with a creative platform to learn through “Learn, Compete, Create and Celebrate” while also expressing their talent. In the competitions held on the occasion, the first prize in Crossword Puzzles was awarded to Sadia Ameen, BBA third year; the first prize in the Brand Detective Game went to Priyanshi Kushwaha, BCom first year; and the first prize in the Odd Ad-Mad Show was awarded to Chitra Bhojwani, Poonam Ahirwar and Maria Khan of BCom third year, and Habiba Ali of BBA second year.
The programme organised by the Commerce Department proved to be a unique blend of knowledge, creativity, competition and entertainment for the students, and helped prepare them for the challenges of the business world with greater confidence and competence.
