CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Singh has directed all departments in the districts of Bhopal division to promptly achieve their assigned targets under various schemes and projects. If additional targets are required, proposals should be submitted within a week. Departments were also instructed to prepare an action plan for the remaining days of the financial year to ensure target completion.
Monthly Review via Video Conference
Commissioner Singh conducted a monthly review of all district operations via video conference from the Commissioner’s office. The meeting was attended by district collectors, CEOs of district panchayats, and other officials. Joint Commissioner Vinod Yadav and divisional officers from various departments were also present in the VC room at the Commissioner’s office.
Key Directives
Scheduled Caste/Tribe Welfare: The PM Jan-Man Yojana and Dharti Aba Tribal Utkarsh Abhiyan were instructed to be accelerated.
Ayushman Bharat Scheme: Significant progress was noted in the division. Card distribution percentages were reported as follows: Bhopal (96%), Sehore (93%), Raisen (87%), Vidisha (86%), and Rajgarh (82%). Remaining work was directed to be completed through campaigns.
Scholarship Distribution:
Departments were instructed to update student profiles and complete pending scholarship distributions promptly.
Agriculture and Farmer Welfare:
Farmers were directed to receive timely access to fertilizers and seeds. Instructions were given for swift payment under soybean procurement and speedy transportation of procured crops. Strict measures were instructed to prevent stubble burning, with legal action for violations. Farmers were encouraged to use happy seeders.
Kisan Credit Card (KCC):
Good progress was noted in KCC distribution by the Animal Husbandry Department, which distributed 6,962 cards against a target of 9,450. However, the Fisheries Department was asked to expedite its efforts.
Urban Bodies and Housing:
The ongoing “Svanidhi Bhi, Swabhiman Bhi” fortnight campaign was reviewed. Departments were instructed to ensure the benefits of PM Svanidhi and other schemes reach maximum beneficiaries.
Shelter Homes for the Homeless:
Provisions for the homeless in shelter homes during winter were discussed. Directions included ensuring bonfires, hot water, blankets, clean surroundings, electricity, water, and access roads. Non-governmental organizations were also encouraged to assist in managing these facilities.
Women and Child Development:
The “Hum Honge Kamyab” fortnight to address gender-based violence was reviewed. Departments were asked to work continuously on this issue and submit progress reports. The proper implementation of the Aftercare Scheme was also directed.
Public Health Engineering:
Completed tap-water schemes were to be promptly transferred to respective panchayats. A total of 215 schemes were identified for handover, including 64 in Bhopal, 13 in Sehore, 7 in Raisen, 11 in Rajgarh, and 120 in Vidisha. Coordination among departments was emphasized for timely execution.
Rural Development:
The review revealed that out of 420 sanctioned gaushalas (cow shelters), 370 were completed, 48 were under construction, and 2 were yet to start. Instructions were issued to expedite pending construction and ensure water and electricity supply in all shelters.
Vrindavan Village Initiative:
Each block was tasked to identify one village meeting the criteria of a minimum population of 2,000 and at least 500 cattle, with adequate resources like water, fodder, and grass.
CM Helpline Review:
Notices were issued to five officers in Rajgarh district for failing to resolve complaints in a timely manner. These included Manoj Chauhan (Labor Inspector), Kiran Wadia (CMHO), P.N. Yadav (General Manager, Cooperative Bank), Lakhanlal Thakur (District Excise Officer), and J.K. Thakur (Executive Engineer, Water Resources).
The review emphasized the need for proactive efforts to achieve development goals and address public grievances effectively.
