CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : A special awareness program was organized today at the auditorium of Regional College under the drug de-addiction campaign conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Police. The chief guest of the event was Bhopal Division Commissioner Harinarayan Chari Mishra, who addressed the students, faculty, and staff members, raising awareness about the harmful effects of drugs and their impact on society.
Mr. Mishra stated, “Addiction dulls a person’s ability to think and understand, putting not only their future at risk but also creating problems for their family and society.” He encouraged the youth to stay focused on their goals and adopt discipline and self-reliance in their lives.

During the program, police department officials also provided information on drug prevention, its legal aspects, and strategies to avoid substance abuse. College students took a pledge to keep themselves and those around them free from addiction.

The program featured video clips, case studies, and interviews to illustrate how drug addiction affects lives and how crucial the role of society is in helping individuals recover. On this occasion, the college principal, faculty members, students, and senior officers of the Bhopal Police were present. The event was conducted by the college’s Social Service Committee.

The initiative aimed not only to spread awareness about drug prevention but also to instill a sense of social responsibility and promote a positive lifestyle among the youth. In conclusion, Commissioner Harinarayan Chari Mishra appealed to everyone to become part of the ‘Drug-Free India’ campaign and lead a healthy, safe, and respectable life.
