CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Divisional Commissioner Karmveer Sharma has directed the officials concerned to prepare a detailed report on the required pathway and bridge to connect the hospital, the college girls’ hostel auditorium and the herbal garden on the Pandit Khushilal hospital campus. Sharma chaired a meeting of the executive committee of Khushilal Medical College in the college conference hall on Monday.

At the meeting, in-principle approval was given to open the herbal garden developed on the campus for schoolchildren so that they can get detailed information about Ayurvedic plants. Schools can now arrange tours of the herbal garden for their students. A fee of Rs 10 per student was also approved. The meeting also approved completion of repair work at the hospital attached to the college and the PG building within a fixed time frame, along with modernisation of labs and upgrading of their functioning. Professors were also permitted to organise workshops from time to time with the Indian Council of Medical Science and other professionals. Approval was also given to purchase necessary medicines for the super specialty wing.

Sharma approved the purchase of necessary equipment and modernisation material for different departments of the hospital attached to the college, as per Health Corporation and purchase store rules. Approval was also granted for a digital X-ray machine, firefighting equipment and installation of CCTV cameras in all testing labs. Sharma sought detailed information on patenting research by PG students attached to the college and directed that all possible help be provided to the students.

Deputy Secretary, AYUSH, Ranjana Devda, Joint Commissioner Dr Vinod Yadav, Principal Dr Umesh Shukla, Superintendent of Khushilal College Dr Hariprasad Sharma, committee members Dr Urmila Shukla, Dr R. Pati, Dr Rita Marwa and Rajesh Bhavsar were present at the meeting.
