CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat has stated that the work on various under-construction major and medium irrigation projects in the state should be completed within the stipulated timeframe. He directed senior officials to continuously monitor the progress of these projects and ensure high-quality execution, emphasizing that there should be no negligence in the work.
Minister Silawat reviewed the under-construction major and medium projects in the Dhasan–Ken river basin (Kachhar region) under the Water Resources Department at his office in the ministry. The meeting was attended by Rajesh Rajora, Additional Chief Secretary, Water Resources Department, Vinod Kumar Devda, Chief Engineer, other senior engineers, officials, and representatives of the construction agencies associated with the projects.
The Minister instructed senior officials to prepare a detailed action plan to complete the projects within the approved timelines and to review the progress every fifteen days. During the meeting, it was informed that upon completion, these projects would provide additional irrigation facilities to approximately 81,000 hectares of agricultural land in the districts of Sagar, Panna, Damoh, and Chhatarpur.
Minister Silawat also issued directions regarding irrigation arrangements under the Kachhar region through the Apchand, Manjhgaya, Satdharu, Pawai, Runj, and Kathan irrigation projects.
