The seminar, held on the theme ‘Roadmap to Developed India 2047,’ featured senior journalist Rakesh Khar as the chief guest and keynote speaker, while the session was presided over by Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.G. Suresh.
In his presidential address, Dr. Suresh discussed three key aspects—accessibility, availability, and affordability—in the construction of Digital India, highlighting their necessity in the digital era. He elaborated on the utility and challenges of technology in digital media, noting that technology is advancing rapidly, and we are currently unable to keep pace with it. Suresh emphasized that the ‘Amrit Kaal’ will be the most significant period for the country, and therefore, universities must focus on research. He also stressed that research should be conducted in the interest of society.
In the inaugural session, chief guest and keynote speaker Rakesh Khar provided an in-depth discussion on the revolution occurring in media, particularly digital media. He shared insights with examples on the opportunities and challenges in new and digital media. Prof. Avinash Vajpeyi, Head of the Department of Media Management, congratulated the participants on their outstanding research and encouraged them to continue their scholarly pursuits. Dr. Kapil Raj Chandoria, Director of the Datia Campus and Organizing Secretary, informed that approximately 484 participants from 22 states across the country took part in this two-day national seminar, and more than 90 research papers were received.
