CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: In the Vijaypur Assembly constituency of Sheopur district, a shocking incident occurred a day before the recent by-election voting, where miscreants indiscriminately opened fire on the tribal village of Dhanachaya. Additionally, after the voting, in the village of Gohta in Vijaypur, miscreants vandalized houses in a Dalit settlement during the night, set crops on fire, and damaged a statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

State Congress President Jitu Patwari has taken these incidents seriously and formed a committee to investigate them. Patwari has instructed the committee members to visit the incident sites promptly, meet with the affected families, injured victims, and local residents, assess the actual situation, and submit a report to the State Congress Committee.

Rajeev Singh, Vice President and Organizational In-Charge of the State Congress, stated that, following the instructions of the State Congress President, the committee members include MLA Phool Singh Baraiya, former minister Lakhan Singh Yadav, 2024 Lok Sabha election candidate Satyapal Singh (Neetu) Sikarwar, Madhya Pradesh Congress SC Department President Pradeep Ahirwar, and Madhya Pradesh Congress ST Department President Ramu Tekam. This committee will soon visit the Vijaypur incident sites in Sheopur district to gather detailed information about the events.
