CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: At the Pradesh Congress headquarters auditorium, Pradesh Congress President and other Congress members garlanded and offered floral tributes to the portrait of Maharshi Valmiki on the occasion of his Jayanti, shedding light on his profound life and contributions.
Director Patwari stated that Maharshi Valmiki inspired humanity to make life meaningful through intense penance and strong willpower. He quoted, “Ulat naam japat jag jaana—Valmiki became one with Brahma,” meaning Valmiki was unknowingly chanting the name of Ram in reverse but became deeply engrossed in real meditation. The essence is that words or mantras are merely tools to reach meditation; once in a meditative state, all obstacles fade away. Maharshi Valmiki, absorbed in this deep penance, composed the Ramayana. Valmiki was so immersed in his penance that he was unaware of the thick layer of termites covering his body, and seeing this, Lord Brahma named Ratnakar as Valmiki.
Mukesh Nayak, President of the MP Congress Media Department, emphasized the need to follow the righteous path through every verse of the Valmiki Ramayana. Anyone who reads the Ramayana once can never feel despair or hopelessness in life.
Pradeep Ahirwar, President of the MP Congress Scheduled Caste Department, said that Maharshi Valmiki conveyed the message of unity through determination, strong will, and education, showing the way to organize society.
On this occasion, former minister Sajjan Singh Verma, Pradesh Congress Vice President Rajiv Singh, District/City Congress President Praveen Saxena, Munawwar Kauser, Mukesh Bansal, Hemant Narwaria, Neeraj Chandale, and many Congress members were present.
