CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: In Madhya Pradesh, Congress sanitation workers’ department state president Jayaraj Singh Chouhan has informed that on the upcoming Wednesday, July 10, 2024, under the leadership of the state Congress sanitation workers’ department, sanitation workers from across the state will stage a protest and dharna demonstration at the Chief Minister’s residence regarding various demands and rights of sanitation workers.

In the protest demonstration, state Congress president Jitu Patwari, former minister Shri Sajjan Singh Verma, and a large number of officials, workers, and supporters of the Congress sanitation workers’ department, including Mukesh Nayak, head of the Madhya Pradesh Congress Media Department, will be present.

Chouhan mentioned that exactly one year ago, on July 10, 2023, the Madhya Pradesh Congress sanitation workers’ department had surrounded the Assembly regarding the demands and rights of sanitation workers, with various demands put forward, but the government did not heed the demands of the sanitation workers.

Chouhan further stated that to remind the government of the demands of sanitation workers and after one year, on July 10, 2024, the Madhya Pradesh Congress sanitation workers’ department will organize a protest in Bhopal, where thousands of sanitation workers from the roads will surround the Chief Minister’s residence and submit their demands in a letter to the Chief Minister. The sanitation workers will gather in front of the Pradesh Congress office and march on foot towards the Chief Minister’s residence. District coordinators have also been appointed for the protest and dharna demonstration, who will arrive in Bhopal from all over the state along with sanitation workers and participate in the demonstration.
