CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: As per the directives of the Madhya Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, Jabalpur, and under the guidance of Shri Manoj Kumar Srivastava, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Bhopal, and the direction of Aarti Sharma, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, an awareness camp was organized at the National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research (NITTTR), Shyamla Hills, Bhopal. On this occasion, a collective reading of the Preamble to the Constitution was conducted.
The legal awareness camp featured key speakers Abhay Singh, District Legal Aid Officer, and Sudhir Dubey, Panel Advocate, representing the Legal Services Authority. NITTTR’s Director C.C. Tripathi, Professor Ravi Kumar Gupta, Retired Major Nishant Kumar, Senior Administrative Officer, along with the institute’s staff, students, trainees, and teachers from other states were in attendance.
Panel Advocate Sudhir Kumar Dubey provided insights into the constitutional history of India, the formation of the Constituent Assembly, primary sources of the Constitution, its nature, fundamental duties, fundamental rights, landmark judgments of the Supreme Court, and the directive principles of state policy.
District Legal Aid Officer Abhay Singh explained the purpose, structure, and functioning of the Legal Services Authority. He also detailed initiatives such as the Free Legal Aid Scheme, Lok Adalat, Mediation Scheme, Pre-Litigation Mediation, provisions of the Motor Accident Claims Act, the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, and the free legal advice and assistance helpline through NALSA’s toll-free number – 15100.
Retired Major Nishant Kumar elaborated on the Preamble of the Constitution and emphasized its significance.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by the Director of NITTTR, C.C. Tripathi.
