CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Constitution Day was celebrated by the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Sarojini Naidu Government Girls Postgraduate College, Bhopal.
The department commemorated the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution. On this occasion, students performed a theatrical portrayal of key figures from the Constituent Assembly, such as Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Mahatma Gandhi, Sucheta Kripalani, Maulana Azad, Sardar Patel, Pandit Nehru, Vijayalakshmi Pandit, H.P. Kamat, and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, reenacting their significant speeches in the Assembly to raise awareness among the students.
Students also delivered speeches and recited poems on the importance of the Preamble to the Constitution. The event began with a garlanding of the statue of Goddess Saraswati by the college principal, Deepti Srivastava. She addressed the students on the significance of the Preamble and emphasized the importance of constitutional rights and duties. She also inspired students to practice liberty, equality, and fraternity while adhering to the principles of dignity and responsibility.
The program was meticulously prepared under the guidance of Swarna Durbe, with enthusiastic participation from the students. Faculty members and a large number of students from the college and the Department of Political Science were present at the event. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by the Head of the Department, Vandana Singh.
