CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The efforts of Executive Professor Ajay Singh at AIIMS, along with his commitment to the institution and his passion for achieving excellence, are finally bearing fruit. According to data released by the Ministry of Education in New Delhi, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhopal, has secured the 31st rank in the 2024 National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). Last year, the institute was ranked 38th. This impressive leap of 7 positions within just one year is a significant achievement for the institution, which was not even included in this ranking previously. AIIMS Bhopal achieved this position after competing with 182 medical institutions across the country. AIIMS New Delhi remains in the number one position as before.

The ranking framework evaluates institutions across various categories, including patient care, research, student placement performance, and the selection of students for higher studies after graduation. Students from AIIMS Bhopal have secured positions in postgraduate courses at highly ranked institutions across the country and prestigious universities abroad. The faculty and students of AIIMS have also demonstrated exemplary research work and won numerous awards.

Over the past few years, AIIMS faculty members have received more than 175 research grants on a competitive basis from various national and international funding agencies, and over 1,000 scientific research papers have been published in prestigious national and international journals.

Under the guidance and leadership of Dr. Ajay Singh, the institute is progressing rapidly. With its relentless efforts, the institution is poised to achieve even better rankings in the coming years and beyond.
