CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of World Youth Skills Day, the Center for Research and Industrial Staff Performance (CRISP), Bhopal, organised a skill test and certificate distribution ceremony to encourage skill development. More than 90 young participants enthusiastically took part in the competition, held across 14 laboratories of the institute, and demonstrated their practical skills.

During the competition, participants showcased their skills in various trades within the prescribed time limit. Some made effective use of artificial intelligence tools, while others demonstrated circuit testing and troubleshooting in power electronics. In computer networking, participants showed their proficiency by establishing LAN connectivity, while students of photography and graphic designing displayed their creativity.

The fashion designing competition remained a special attraction, with participants completing the cutting, designing and stitching of a suit in just two hours. Participants also gave excellent demonstrations of their skills in mechanical drawing, library automation, IoT, solar, CNC, block printing, sewing machine operation and several other trades.

As part of the programme, heads of various departments evaluated the work of the participants and gave them useful suggestions to further refine their skills in line with industry requirements. Seventeen participants who performed exceptionally well were honoured with certificates.

On the occasion, CRISP Director Amol Vaidya and Assistant General Manager Faisal Jafri extended their best wishes to all participants and said such events inspire young people to demonstrate their skills, build confidence and become employment-oriented.

The programme was conducted and coordinated by Megha Gajbhiye. Dr. Sudhir Kumar Jain, Dr. Sansmriti Mishra, Iram, Sandeep Sarse, Mukesh Kharonia, Kapil Srivastava, Annapurnanand Tiwari, Alok Dewangan, along with all department heads and faculty members, played an active role in the event. All departments conducted practical skill tests lasting one to two hours, in which participants’ proficiency was assessed through real tasks.

The programme organised on World Youth Skills Day was a meaningful initiative by CRISP towards encouraging a spirit of skill, innovation and self-reliance among young people.
