CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Central Reserve Police Force has issued a recruitment notification for 521 posts under the sports quota recruitment 2026. Under this recruitment, eligible sportspersons will be selected for the posts of Head Constable General Duty and Constable General Duty. The online application process will begin on October 12, 2026, and candidates will be able to apply until November 11, 2026.
Of the total 521 posts, 182 are for Head Constable General Duty and 339 are for Constable General Duty. For Head Constable, 150 posts are for male sportspersons and 32 posts for female sportspersons, while for Constable, 258 posts are reserved for male sportspersons and 81 for female sportspersons. For the Head Constable post, candidates must have passed Class 12, while candidates who have passed Class 10 can apply for the Constable post. The prescribed age limit is 18 to 23 years as of August 1, 2026. Eligible sportspersons must also have national or international-level sports achievements during the prescribed period.
The selection process includes document verification, physical standard test, sports trial and medical examination. There is no provision for a general written examination. The application fee is Rs 100 for male candidates from the general, Other Backward Classes and Economically Weaker Sections categories, while women and candidates from some reserved categories have been exempted from the fee. Candidates will have to visit the CRPF recruitment website, rect.crpf.gov.in, to apply. Before applying, it is necessary to check all conditions related to sports eligibility, age, educational qualification and documents in the official notification.
