CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress / ITDC News Bhopal / Raipur/Bhilai – Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU) is set to get a new Vice Chancellor soon. While all procedures for the selection have been completed, only the interviews remain. The Raj Bhavan is expected to announce the name of the new VC after conducting interviews in the coming days. According to reliable sources, 11 candidates have been shortlisted for the post.
The interviews were scheduled for Friday, July 11, but have been postponed for now. Among the top candidates are Dr. R.K. Singh, Professor at Bipin Tripathi Institute of Technology, Uttarakhand; Prof. Ram Narayan Khare, Director of CSVTU’s constituent college in Ambikapur; and Prof. M.L. Agrawal, Additional Director in the Department of Technical Education. Professors Anil Tiwari and Rajesh Tripathi from NIT Raipur have also been invited for interviews.
- How the VC is Selected:
Shortlisted candidates will go through one-on-one interviews conducted by the Vice Chancellor Selection Committee. The committee will evaluate their academic background and ask them to present their vision for the university if appointed. Based on these interviews, the committee will rank the candidates and prepare a panel for final selection.
