Dr. C. V. Raman Green Donor Science Writing Awards 2026 Promote Scientific Thinking and Environmental Responsibility

Bhopal/Delhi: The Dr. C. V. Raman Green Donor Science Writing Awards 2026 were organized in a grand and dignified manner at the Gyan Vigyan Auditorium under the joint aegis of Green Donor – The Eco-Earth Institute & Research Centre (EERC India) and Barkatullah University. The event witnessed notable participation from Harit Veer sisters and brothers and award recipients from several states including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Uttarakhand.
Addressing the gathering as the Chief Guest, Prof. S. K. Jain, Vice-Chancellor of Barkatullah University, stated that merely having thoughts about environmental responsibility is not enough to become a true Green Donor; what truly matters is acting upon those ideas. He emphasized that a real Green Donor is someone who sincerely fulfills their responsibilities towards Mother Nature.
The Guest of Honour, Shri Prakash Naik, ADM, Government of Madhya Pradesh, described the initiative as an exceptional effort that encourages scientific thinking and a positive outlook among youth. The ceremony was also graced by the presence of Samar Bahadur Singh, Registrar of Barkatullah University.
Mrs. Radhika Virendra, Director of Green Donor, added to the dignity of the ceremony and encouraged participants by linking environmental conservation with social responsibility.
Veerji, the proponent of the Harit Veer Vahini and a research-oriented environmental thinker, remarked that scientific thinking develops through curiosity and continuous effort. He noted that every individual carries a scientist within, which simply needs to be awakened.
Award Results
In the Education Category, Dr. Rakesh Ahuja from Himachal Pradesh secured the First Position. The Joint Second Position was awarded to Dr. Ananya Choudhary (West Bengal), Hrishikesh Sonanje, and Dr. Siddharth Shukla (Madhya Pradesh).
In the Student Category, Swasti Jain and Abhinav Dixit from Madhya Pradesh secured the First Position. The Joint Second Position was awarded to Tanvi Jyotishi (Maharashtra) and Vanshika Chauhan (Uttar Pradesh).
In addition, more than 62 participants were honoured as Green Donor Medalists, from entire India
During the programme, a practical demonstration of the Green Donor Effect Theory was also conducted. Within just three minutes, the entire auditorium transformed into complete silence, where participants collectively experienced a sense of love and gratitude towards Mother Nature. The moment symbolized a unique confluence of science and sensitivity.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Pawan Mishra, Head of the Department of Student Welfare at Barkatullah University.
The programme ended with a collective pledge for nature conservation and the spirit of the Green Donor movement.
