CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A special lecture program on the theme “Sanchar Saathi and Cyber Fraud Awareness” was organized at Rabindranath Tagore University, Raisen by the Department of Telecommunications in collaboration with MPLSA. The chief guest of the program was Nilesh Shrivastava, Director Technology, Department of Telecommunications.
The event began with a welcome address by the Vice Chancellor of the university, Dr. R. P. Dubey, who highlighted the importance of such initiatives in the field of communication security and digital awareness, calling them the need of the hour.

The keynote speaker and expert for the session was Harshit Modi, Assistant Director General, who provided detailed information on the Sanchar Saathi app, cyber security, methods to identify online fraud, and EMF awareness. Through videos and PPT presentations, he addressed students’ queries and guided them on ways to stay safe in the digital world.
Rashmi Karandikar, Assistant Director Technology and Coordinator of the Sanchar Mitra Scheme, explained the objective, functioning, and youth participation under the Sanchar Mitra initiative. She emphasized that with the increasing use of technology, cyber security awareness and responsible digital behavior have become essential.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Lakshmi Singh, Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication. Expressing gratitude to the Department of Telecommunications, she said that such training programs prepare students to face future challenges.
A large number of Sanchar Mitras, students from various departments, and faculty members were present at the event.
